4.5 stars / Would definitely recommend. The fish was seasoned so well that I didn't have a desire or need to put hot sauce on them. Got greens and cabbage as sides. Absolutely delicious, but arrived lukewarm. The servers were polite but maybe not consistently attentive. Went on a Friday night and street parking was a challenge... that's not their fault, but it's worth noting. It's worth noting that the MUSIC WAS ON POINT! It was R&B & Soul from the last 40-50 years and it was a cherry on top of the amazing food. I like this place and I would definitely comeback, but there's room for improvement-- a minor adjustment in food temp and service would make this restaurant truly 5 stars.

Our server, Jasmone, was amazing. The food came out fast and hot. The serving portions were beyond my expectations. I had the smothered pork chops (gravy on the side) with cabbage and mac-n-cheese. The food was absolutely delicious. The Jerk Chicken and Jerk Shrimp tacos were very flavorful. I will be back the next time that I am in Chicago.

The food was absolutely incredible—piping hot, bursting with flavor, and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was a delight! Jaythan was an exceptional host—charming, gracious, and incredibly attentive. He made the experience even better with his warm personality and spot-on recommendation. Truly unforgettable service and an outstanding meal!

Everything was absolutely delicious. We had the fried green tomatoes, smothered chicken, salmon pasta, rice and greens! Service was also good. There was a little wait for you food but everything came out hot and PERFECT! Will be returning very soon!

This restaurant is a hit, the food was hot, fresh and seasoned to perfection. The music was laid back and the vibe was chill. The service was top tier, the waitresses interacted with us and made sure we was good. I highly recommend.

Went for date night and we were ABSOLUTELY PLEASED! We had the soul rolls which were a 10/10. We also had the oxtails and jerk chicken wings along with sides. Everything was DELICIOUS and the service was top notch. Jathan (I think) was our server! We will definitely be back!!!!

Jaythan was one of the best and most attentive servers I’ve ever had!!! He gave excellent suggestions on food and drinks! We really enjoyed our Fried Catfish, Deviled eggs,fried green tomatoes, Mac and cheese cabbage greens and cornbread! Even had a waffle ice cream sandwich for extra big back behavior! 10 out of 10 and I highly recommend you check them out, Don’t forget to try the Jolly Rancher it taste just like the watermelon jolly rancher !!

I stumbled across this place looking for a good food restaurant I can take my mom for her birthday. I was able to book a rsvp same day and the experience didn’t disappoint. We literally ordered everything we were curious about on the menu and it all was a 10 out 10. The food wasn’t the only thing exceptional but the service was as well, my family literally stated they treated us like family! The entire staff was pleasant from the host to bus boy and the manager made sure everything was to our liking. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer!
